VoigtlanderLabyrinth binoculars in immaculate condition with caseThisVoigtlander Braunschweig model was introduced in 1934 for civilianuse. The rather scarce and distinctive aluminium body constructionwas termed by the manufacturer Labyrinth sealing where thebridge arms from the hinge and the main body are cast in one piece.The other half of the cast body is sealed and screwed together,resulting in the characteristic seams running along the bodies. Thisessentially dispensed with the need for end prism cover platesresulting in a very robust and sealed pair of binoculars. Also verydistinctive, are the Bakelite eye cups.Thisset is in immaculate original condition. It is difficult to find anymark on them at all. The lenses and prisms are crystal clear andcorrectly collimated. Both oculars focus freely.

The original blackBakelite eye cups are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Thefirst bridge carries letters cast into the aluminium. On the left ithas V.B. (Voigtlander Braunschweig) and on the right, 6×30. The nameVoigtlander is cast onto face of the right hand cover plate andfilled with white. The serial number 116054 is stamped on the face ofthe other bridge at the objective end.

Thebinoculars come with anoriginal blackleather neck strap which isin excellent condition.Thereis also an original maroon velvet lined, black leather case, witha black leather shoulder strap, bothin equally excellent condition.Please note for absolute clarity, that in addition to the honest description made in good faith, the photographs form an integral part of the description and it is incumbent upon the buyer to seek further information if there is any uncertainty about age, condition or functionality.
